Applied Infrared Spectroscopy

The focus of this research is on examining the spectral response of physically mixed heterogeneous samples, consisting of varying particle sizes and roughness. We aim to understand the spectral effects resulting from surface roughness and directional emissivity.

To achieve this, we integrate multispectral and hyperspectral thermal infrared spectroscopy with high resolution structure-from-motion photogrammetry techniques. Through this interdisciplinary approach, we seek to gain deeper insights into how surface characteristics influence the spectral signatures observed in remote sensing data.
